Mendenhall, John
John Mendenhall is a research scientist in the Neuroscience Department and Center for Learning and Memory at the University of Texas at Austin, where he specializes in 3D electron microscopy to investigate synaptic, neuronal and glial ultrastructure at the nanoscale. His current work concentrates on developing cost-effective and accessible techniques for serial section tomography using transmission mode on scanning electron microscopes (tomoSEM) to achieve excellent lateral (2nm) and axial (10-15nm) resolution within extensive volumes of brain tissue.
