Perlman, Eric
Eric Perlman’s current role at The Jackson Laboratory is focused on building cloud-based workflows.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University, where his work primarily focused on building storage and analysis infrastructure for large interdisciplinary research projects. After Hopkins, he joined the Bock Lab at Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus where he built the infrastructure for the EM volume reconstruction of an adult fruit fly brain. He has continued to focus on the storage, processing and visualization of large imaging datasets, both as Assistant Research Scientist at the Johns Hopkins University and on-going as a scientific freelancer.
