Rivlin, Patricia
Pat Rivlin received her PhD in Neurobiology from Cornell, where she also conducted postdoctoral work to study the structure and function of neuromuscular synapses in Drosophila. Pat is currently a Scientific Operations Manager at HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus, where she plays a dual role, managing the Proofreading Team for the FlyEM Project and the EM Shared Resource (Core Facility). Pat has experience preparing and analyzing neural tissue at the EM level from a variety of organisms including fish, primate and Drosophila, and brings this expertise to connectomics. As a founding member of the FlyEM Project, Pat has contributed to a series of connectomes of increasingly larger volumes of the adult Drosophila brain, working towards the goal of producing a connectome of the fly’s entire central nervous system.
